SUPPORT US
WHY ZOO CO?
Award-winning creativity can also be accessible creativity.
Zoo Co is a multi award-winning Registered Charity. We make innovative, bold, electric live theatre for audiences across the UK, as well as delivering ground-breaking community and youth programmes from our home in Croydon.
Only 28% of venues and festivals regularly present or support work by disabled artists.

We know theatre is better when everyone is invited, and we're always looking to connect with people who share that knowledge. People who believe in our mission support us in a variety of ways, and we can’t do it without them.

Every donation, every sign up, everyone who shares and talks about our work really makes a huge difference to us.

On this page you'll find out about the different ways of supporting us.
Whether it's all year round as part of our Zoo Keeper Supporters' Scheme, making a one-off donation or even choosing us as your charity on Give as you Live. However you choose to support us, your generosity will help ensure that we keep creating, developing and delivering work. Thank you!

WAYS TO DONATE
Though we receive an annual grant from Arts Council England, that is only about 40% of our income. In order to keep ticket prices accessible, our youth programmes free, and our productions high-quality we rely on your support.

Making a Will is one of the most effective ways to make sure your wishes are carried out and that the things you care about are looked after in the future. Zoo Co is a Registered Charity, any gift left to us in a Will would not be subject to inheritance tax.
We recommend you contact a solicitor when making or altering your Will.
If you would like to discuss a gift, or let us know that you have arranged for one, please get in touch with tom@wearezooco.co.uk.
As we grow, charitable Trusts & Foundations are becoming a key part of our support.
According to the 20/21 DCMS community life survey, only 27% of young people and 23% of disabled people feel like they can influence decisions in their local area. Not only does this mean that young and disabled people are systematically blocked from participating in local and regional decision-making and democracy, but they are not progressing into leadership positions in order to shape national practice.
This is leading to both arts inaccessibility for disabled communities and the value of disabled creative visions being lost from our creative output.
This is compounded in Croydon with the largest youth population in London and 42,000 disabled people, which has made it an ideal place to develop our practice over the last 10 years, and export it to the rest of the UK.
Storytelling is the act of making one thousand tiny decisions, and theatre is a perfect sandbox to practise decision-making. Zoo Co was founded with a desire to develop young/disabled creative and community leadership leadership and influence using theatre and storytelling.
If you represent a Trust or a Foundation and would like to support this vision, please get in touch with our development team at tom@wearezooco.co.uk.
Becoming an advocate for our work is a huge part of how people support us. This advocacy can take many different forms.
You could host an event for us in your workplace so we can tell more people about our work.
Our leadership team regularly attends events to deliver talks about our work, such as our recent talk to DCMS about learning-disabled creativity.
Or, join our mailing list, to keep up-to-date and tell your friends and colleagues about what we’re doing.
Send us an email at tom@wearezooco.co.uk to discuss.
